On the Audi Q3 II (2019 onward), most cars run either the 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch (DQ381) or, depending on engine and market, an 8-speed tiptronic torque-converter automatic. A pause of a second or two before drive engages, followed by a thump or a shove in your back, is almost never "just how it drives" — it's a hydraulic pressure or clutch-adaptation problem. Pressure builds too slowly, so the clutch closes late and then grabs all at once. Cold mornings often feel fine; hot, stop-and-go traffic makes it worse.
