If your Lynk & Co 02’s brake pedal pulses under braking, warped discs are a likely cause. Here’s how to check, what usually fixes it, and whether it’s safe to drive.
Why Does the Pedal Pulse?
That rhythmic pulsing you feel through the brake pedal usually comes from the front brake discs (rotors) having uneven surface thickness or runout — often called warped discs. On a Lynk & Co 02, this can develop from hard braking that leaves pad material unevenly deposited, or from thermal stress. Less commonly, a stuck caliper or worn suspension component can cause similar symptoms. The good news? In many cases, the discs can be machined (resurfaced) if they still meet the minimum thickness spec. On some 02 models, the brake discs are separate from the hub, and replacing just the discs — along with fresh pads — is usually sufficient. A full hub or assembly replacement is only a fallback if the disc is too thin or damaged.
