Feeling a pulsing brake pedal in your C-HR? It’s usually warped front discs. Here’s how to confirm it, what to check, and whether you can keep driving.
Why Does the Pedal Pulse?
When you feel a rhythmic vibration through the brake pedal, it's almost always a thickness variation on the brake disc surface. In the Toyota C-HR II, the front discs are the usual suspects. As the pad sweeps over high and low spots, hydraulic pressure fluctuates, which you feel as pulsation. This is often called "warped" rotors, though true warping is rare — more often it's uneven transfer of pad material from overheating or aggressive braking after a car wash.
