A front-end clunk over bumps is usually a worn stabilizer link, control-arm bushing or strut mount — rarely catastrophic, but never worth ignoring.
Here’s the order a mechanic checks things in, and when you should stop driving.
What that clunk is actually telling you
If your CS55 Plus thumps or knocks from the front end when you roll over a speed bump, a pothole or a rough patch of road, you're hearing one of two things: a worn joint or bushing that now has play in it, or a component that has worked loose and is knocking against its neighbour. The good news is that on this platform the noise is almost always in a handful of well-known places, and most of them are cheap, accessible parts. The less good news is that a clunk is a symptom of movement that shouldn't be there — so it will get worse, not better, and it can quietly chew through your front tyres in the meantime.
