Common Causes of Brake Pedal Pulsation
If your Ford Focus IV’s brake pedal vibrates or pulses when you apply the brakes, the most likely culprit is warped brake discs (rotors). Warping occurs from uneven heat buildup during hard braking, rapid cooling (like driving through water after heavy braking), or simply age and wear. The disc surface becomes uneven, causing the brake pads to grab and release as they rotate — you feel that as a pulsing pedal.
