Why Your Monjaro Feels Gutless and Smokes Black
When a diesel engine loses power under load and rolls out black smoke, it's telling you the air-fuel mixture is too rich. On a Geely Monjaro, the two usual suspects are the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve and the diesel particulate filter (DPF). A stuck-open EGR dumps exhaust gas back into the intake, starving the engine of oxygen. A clogged DPF creates high backpressure, which also chokes combustion. Both cause incomplete burning – hence the black smoke, the lag, and that heavy, labored feeling when you accelerate.
