A cold-start stall on a Haval H9 is usually a fuel, air, or sensor issue, not normal winter behavior.
Check battery voltage, throttle body, coolant temp sensor, and fuel pressure before replacing parts.
Why a Haval H9 stalls right after a winter cold start
Cold starts demand extra fuel, stable voltage, and accurate sensor data. On petrol Haval H9 models, the most common culprits are a weak battery or poor charging voltage, a carboned-up throttle body, a contaminated MAF or MAP sensor, a faulty coolant temperature sensor that tells the ECU the engine is warmer than it is, low fuel pressure from a tired pump or clogged filter, and worn spark plugs or coils. On diesel versions, add glow-plug faults and winter fuel gelling to the list. A vacuum or intake leak can also lean out the mixture just enough to make the engine stumble and die when it is cold.
