If your Lincoln Continental X is dead by morning, a parasitic draw is the likely culprit. Here are the common causes, what to check first, and whether it is safe to drive.
What a Parasitic Draw Really Means
If your Lincoln Continental X starts fine after a jump but is dead again the next morning, you are dealing with a parasitic electrical draw. That simply means something is still awake and pulling current after the car is shut off and locked. A healthy Lincoln should go to sleep within 30 to 60 minutes and settle down to a tiny key-off load, usually under about 50 milliamps. Anything more will flatten a good battery overnight.
