The ABS warning on a Mazda CX-3 usually points to a wheel speed sensor or wiring issue. Here’s what to check first and how to decide whether driving is safe.
Why the ABS light stays on
The ABS lamp on your CX-3 stays lit because the module has detected something abnormal, and on this model that something is most often a wheel speed sensor or its wiring. Those sensors are exposed to salt, gravel, brake dust and road vibration. A dirty magnet tip, corroded connector, chafed wire, or loose mounting can all trigger the warning. A less common source is a damaged tone ring or an ABS/DSC module problem. Rather than guessing, hook up a scan tool that can read ABS/DSC fault codes and identify which wheel sensor is reporting.
