Omoda E5 ABS Light On: Wheel Speed Sensor Fixes

If your Omoda E5 ABS light stays on, don’t panic. It often points to a wheel speed sensor, wiring, or tone ring — here’s what to check and when it’s safe to drive.

What the ABS Light Is Telling You

On an Omoda E5, an ABS light that stays on means the anti-lock braking system has logged a fault and switched itself off. Your ordinary hydraulic brakes should still work, but ABS, traction control, and stability assist may be offline. The most common culprit is a wheel speed sensor that cannot report cleanly, often because of dirt, a damaged sensor, a loose connector, or a cracked tone ring. Since the E5 also uses wheel speed data for regenerative braking and driver aids, one bad signal can light up the dash.
