A front-end clunk over bumps on a Geometry E is usually a worn link, bushing, or strut mount, not a major failure. Here’s what to look for first.
That dull knock you hear from the front of your Geometry E when you cross a rough patch or drop into a pothole is the car telling you something is loose. The Geometry E uses a conventional MacPherson strut setup up front, but because it's an electric car with extra battery weight over the drive wheels, the same joints and bushings that wear on any small SUV tend to work a little harder. A clunk is almost always a mechanical clearance issue somewhere in the steering or suspension path, not an electronic sensor problem. Even so, if the movement is enough, the stability-control system may notice a tiny wheel wobble and light up a warning lamp - so it's worth understanding the cause before the noises and warnings become bigger.
