Why Does the ABS Light Stay On Continuously?
When your Tiguan II's ABS warning light doesn't go out after a few seconds, the system has detected a fault and disabled itself. In most cases, the culprit is a wheel speed sensor — a small magnetic pickup mounted behind each wheel hub that monitors how fast that wheel is turning. The ABS module uses these signals to prevent lock-up, and it also feeds data to traction control and stability systems. If one sensor stops sending a plausible signal, the warning light comes on and stays on until the fault is cleared.
